Objectives and Contents
Objectives of the Course Unit Evaluation of definition, measurement, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation practices in Sports Physiotherapy
Contents of the Course Unit This course; Definition of sports physiotherapy, Measurement and Evaluation Methods, Physical Fitness, Classification of Injuries According to Sports, Soft Tissue Injuries and Healing Process in Athletes, First Aid and Pretreatment in Sports Injuries, Upper Extremity Injuries and Treatment in Athletes, Lower Extremity Injuries and Treatment in Athletes, Return to Sports, It includes Performance Analysis in Sports, Disabled and Sports, Evaluation and Therapeutic Use of Technology in Sports, Prevention of Sports Injuries.
Contribution of the Course Intending to Provide the Professional Education It contributes to teach the measurement and evaluation methods used in sports physiotherapy, to teach the approaches that protect athletes and healthy people from injuries, to plan and implement the physiotherapy and rehabilitation program after sports injuries.

The implementation of ECTS has, since its introduction, has been found wide acceptance in the higher education systems across the European Countries and become a credit system and an indispensable tool supporting major aims of the Bologna Process and, thus, of European Higher Education Area as it makes teaching and learning in higher education more transparent across Europe and facilitates the recognition of all studies.
