![]() DEPARTMENTS (PROGRAMMES) NURSING (TURKISH)
The Nursing Undergraduate Program educates nurses who are capable of responding to national and global health needs, and who possess the competencies to protect and promote the health of individuals, families, and communities, as well as to meet care needs in cases of illness. The program aims to graduate professionals who adopt evidence-based practices, think critically, demonstrate advanced clinical decision-making skills, adhere to ethical principles and values, respect human rights, and exhibit cultural sensitivity. In line with these objectives, the program seeks to enable students to integrate theoretical knowledge based on basic, clinical, and behavioral sciences with practical skills, and to gain competence in delivering safe and high-quality care. Accordingly, the Nursing Program curriculum is structured in alignment with the European Higher Education Area Qualifications Framework (QF-EHEA), the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning (EQF-LLL), the Turkish Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (TYYÇ, NQF-HETR), and the National Core Education Program for Nursing (NCEPN). The curriculum consists of eight semesters and includes a combination of compulsory courses, program-specific elective courses, and university-wide elective courses. In addition, the curriculum emphasizes lifelong learning and continuous professional development, preparing students to adapt to evolving needs in the healthcare sector. This structure is aligned with both national and international standards and provides a strong foundation for students to become culturally sensitive professionals who can adapt to the globalized healthcare environment.
